The chance will increase greatly on Tuesday, as a strong cold front brings the chance for strong to severe storms to the valley. High pressure will bring a return of sunshine starting Wednesday and continuing through the end of the week. The next chance for rain will be next weekend into the first week in August, as a low is expected to form over the Midwest and move east this weekend.
