Structure fire in Fishersville sends two to hospital, investigation underway

FISHERSVILLE, VA (Rocktown Now) — On Monday evening, emergency crews with Augusta Fire and Rescue responded to a residential structure fire in Fishersville.

The incident occurred shortly after 5:00 p.m. on Hickory Ridge Lane, where firefighters arrived to find a home engulfed in flames. Crews worked diligently to contain the blaze and prevent it from spreading to nearby properties.

Two individuals were reportedly injured during the incident and were transported to Augusta Health for medical evaluation and treatment. Their current condition has not been publicly released.

Authorities have not yet determined the cause of the fire, and an investigation is ongoing.
