Records: EMU 0-0-2, 0-0 ODAC | Marywood 2-0-1, 0-0 MAC Freedom

Highlights
• The Royals found their first goal of the season just three minutes into the game after a loose ball made its way into the Pacers box for Bridget Hay to tap it into the bottom left corner.
• The Pacers picked up the pace despite the early goal. However, EMU’s goalkeeper C.J. Jefferson, stood solid protecting the Royals’ net as she registered six saves during the first half. EMU’s lead could have increased after a shot taken by Ava Scott in the 26th minute; however, the crossbar denied the Royals their second goal of the first half, as the teams went into the break with EMU leading 1-0.
• The Pacers tied the game 1-1 early into the second half after the referee awarded a penalty kick from a foul on the right side of the box committed by Scott.
• Just as in the first half, the Royals were denied their second goal of the game after a shot from Scott was deflected by the goalkeeper over the crossbar after a free kick in the 66th minute.
• The Royals suffered a scare in the 71st minute after the Pacers had scored their second goal of the game after a cross and a scramble into the box; however, the referee overturned the goal after the scoring player was deemed offside.
• Gabi Dewey, who came on in the second half, recorded two saves to help the Royals obtain their second draw of the season.
