LEXINGTON, Va. (EMU Athletics) – On Tuesday, the Diamond Royals marched into Lexington to do battle with the Generals of Washington & Lee, completing a suspended game from two weeks ago before the originally scheduled ODAC night game. Sadly, EMU came home empty, losing the suspended game 10-6 before dropping a 3-2 heartbreaker to the Generals.

Highlights
• The game resumed one pitch into the top of the eighth with W&L leading, 10-5. The two teams went scoreless into the eighth inning.
• The Royals mustered one run in the top of the ninth on a Jett Cabanban sacrifice fly to bring in Hadikell Bruno. However, it was not enough to complete the comeback.

Highlights
• W&L lit up the scoreboard first with twos run in the bottom of the first on a Jackson Rogish base hit to center field.
• The scored remained 2-0 for a while as they game became a pitcher’s duel through the fifth inning.
• The Royals cut the deficit in half to 2-1 when Daniel McGinnis singled to left field to bring home Miller in the sixth inning.
• EMU then tied the game at 2-2 in the eighth inning as McGinnis doubled down the left field line to send Miller home again.
• But it was not meant to be for the Royals as the Generals walked it off when Oakley Rempel reached home on a Ryan McGovern fielder’s choice.
