BALTIMORE, Md. (EMU Athletics) – After opening the 2025 season at home, the Royals field hockey team made the trek north for its first road test of the season.

After Goucher took an early 2-0 lead, the Royals were able to cut their deficit to one with a goal in the third. But the Gophers added to their lead with an insurance goal in the fourth, picking up a 3-1 win over EMU.
