Dukes duo of Hoffman, Williams earns weekly Sun Belt Women’s Tennis honor again

NEW ORLEANS (JMU Athletics) – James Madison’s duo of Brooklyn Hoffmann and Sophie Williams were once again voted the Sun Belt Conference Women’s Tennis Doubles Team of the Week after another unbeaten weekend.

The tandem took the award home for the second week in a row and for the fourth time over the last six weeks.

In JMU’s 2-0 weekend in Williamsburg with wins at William & Mary (4-3) and versus Drexel (6-1), the two extended their doubles win streak to five straight on court one. They opened the trip with a dominant 6-0 victory against W&M’s Francesca Davis and Tilda Larsson. The following day, the duo downed DU’s Adva Dabah and Lorie Lemongo in a 7-5 win to clinch the doubles point.

JMU (8-6), winners of five straight, returns to action on Monday, March 16 in Miami, Fla., against FIU in a noon start.
