Bridgewater’s Black named ODAC Volleyball Defensive Player of the Week

FOREST, Va. (BC Athletics) – The Old Dominion Athletic Conference (ODAC) announced Monday afternoon Bridgewater College graduate transfer, Anna Black, as ODAC Defensive Player of the Week after a ranked win and a 2-1 record on the road last weekend.

Black was also selected to the Christopher Newport All-Tournament Team as a libero. In three matches, the defensive specialist totaled 82 digs including 33 against No. 21 ranked Christopher Newport.

The Eagles also went up against No. 12 nationally ranked Trinity (Texas) and battling in close sets. Bridgewater currently stands at 4-3 overall.

Erin Harris and company gear up for a midweek match against ODAC opponent, Hollins and then host the Eagles Quad-Match Invitational on Saturday, Sept. 13 beginning at 10 a.m.
