It’s become a holiday tradition around the commonwealth:

The Virginia Department of Transportation will once again suspend all lane closures and temporary work zones through Memorial Day weekend.

V-DOT will lift those restrictions beginning tomorrow at noon through high noon on May 30th.

They say that although most lane closures will be lifted, some semi-permanent work zones may remain in place.

Travel officials expect this Memorial Day weekend to be the second-busiest ever on Virginia roads.
