It is no jail time but a hefty fine for the man known as “Doc Antle” from the Netflix series “Tiger King.”

Attorney General Jason Miyares announced that Antle was sentenced to eight years in jail with all of it suspended during a hearing this morning in Frederick County Circuit Court. He was also fined 10-thousand dollars.

Antle was convicted by a jury back in June on four felony counts after he illegally purchased endangered lion cubs in Frederick County for display and profit at his South Carolina zoo business.

In addition, Antle is not allowed to own, buy, sell or trade any exotic animals for five years in the Commonwealth.
