STAUNTON, Va. — Augusta County emergency crews responded to a two-alarm house fire Wednesday night in the Churchville area.

As temperatures dipped into the mid-20s, reports from the Augusta County Emergency Communications Center show that the call came in minutes before nine o’clock from a home at 177 Friends Lane.

Multiple agencies arrived to battle the blaze, which was extinguished after a more-than-two hour fight.

Photos from the site show heavy damage to a side area of the home, but no injuries were reported.
