Bidding has reopened for the Harrisonburg Homeless Services Center Construction Project.

City Communications Director Mike Parks say the city’s invitation originally ended June 15th. However, no bids were received for the desired completion date of January 5th of next year.
Parks added that while the city was appreciative of the interest they received, it was in the best interest of the project and taxpayers to reopen the bidding.
Since the project will be funded through the American Rescue Plan Act Funds as well as taxpayer funds, the new goal is to be finished by October 5th of next year.
